ITINERARY
DAY 1: MARRAKECH - ZAGORA - BOU ATTACHE
Early morning departure from Marrakech in 4WD over the Glaoua Plain, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the stunning Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Travel via Ouarzazate to the oasis village of Zagora, where we load up our dromedary (one dromedary per person) and the pack-camel. Start your adventure, ride for 4 hours south-west into a desert of many small dunes, interspersed with the black gravelly ‘Reg’. Our camp for the night is in a carpeted Bedouin tent. A traditional dinner of tagine, fruit, bread and tea.

DAY 2: BOU ATACCHE - DJENIA - OULILI
After a Saharan sunrise and a Bedouin breakfast, trek south (about 4 hours) across Reg and small sand dunes. Picnic in the foothills of the Jbel Bani. Cross the sun-and-sandblasted Hassi Djenia and trek up the Tizi n’Djenia (1095m). Once across, enter into a picturesque stretch of small oases and passing between small settlements (6 hours). Arrive at Oulili, where we camp. Enjoy the spectacular sunset.

DAY 3: OULILI - MOUZIT N’BRAHIM OU ALI - ERG LIHOUÏDI
Sunrise! An awesome vista in every direction with the changing colours of the sands. Trek towards the dunes at Ouzit n’Brahim Ou Ali where we stop for our field picnic. In the afternoon, head towards the impressive dunes of the Erg Lihouïdi.

DAY 4: ERG LIHOUÏDI - OULAD DRISS - ZAGORA - MARRAKECH
Our final sunrise and Bedouin breakfast before setting off on our 4 hour trek towards the palm groves at Oulad Driss. Enjoy lunch, return to Zagora by taxi. Finally, drive to Marrakech, arriving late evening. (BL)
IT IS RECOMMENDED CLIENTS BRING WITH THEM:
rucksack, day pack; windcheater (seasonal), broad-brimmed hat (or you may purchase a ‘Chèche ’ before you set out from Zagora), change of walking socks; lip balm; personal toiletries and towel; hygienic ‘Wipes’; small First Aid kit; torch with batteries (non-essential); filled water bottle; water purification drops - usually iodine; sunscreen, sunglasses; penknife - do not pack in hand baggage for flights; nibbles and/or dried fruit. Drinking chocolate if preferred. Camera, film and plastic bags for lenses; extra toilet rolls could come in handy! For those who wear contact lenses, perhaps it would be a good idea to bring along a spare pair of glasses.
Any dietary requirements must be pre-advised.
