This tour takes you to the Stellenbosch wine area. It is easy to understand why Simon van der Stel decided to settle a village amongst the mountains all those centuries ago. The backdrop of the Hottentots Holland Mountains, the white gabled Cape Dutch homesteads, the oak lined streets and lanes all blend in to give this place a charm that will not be quickly forgotten. After a comprehensive city tour we visit a wine estate to sample some of the fine Cape wines on offer. We also stop at Spier Wine Estate (time permitting, optional visit to the Spier Cheetah Breeding project). Return to Cape Town.
