ITINERARY
DAY 1: ATHENS
Arrive Athens, transfer to hotel, centrally located in Athens.
Overnight: Athens
DAY 2: ATHENS
Half day city tour of Athens. See Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the National Library and the Presidential Palace. Visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. Continue to the Acropolis and visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and the Parthenon. Afternoon at leisure.

DAY 3: ATHENS – HYDRA – POROS – AEGINA - ATHENS
Transfer to Piraeus for embarkation. Cruise to Hydra, some time at leisure. On to Aegina, time to explore the town with picturesque houses and winding alleys. Continue to Poros, time for a swim or a tour of the preserved Temple of Afea Athena. Return voyage to Piraeus, transfer back to hotel.

DAY 4: ATHENS - CORINTH CANAL – EPIDAURUS – NAUPLION – MYCENAE – OLYMPIA
Travel along the coastal road to the Corinth Canal for a short stop. Visit the Theatre of Epidauros, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Proceed to the Town of Nauplion (short stop). On to Mycenae and visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Depart for Olympia through Central Pelopennese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis.

DAY 5: OLYMPIA - DELPHI
Olympia is the cradle of the Olympic Games. Visit the archaeological site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Drive through the plains of Eliad and Achaia. Cross the Corinthian Bay and continue via the picturesque towns of Nafpactos (Lepanto) and Itea to Delphi.
Overnight: Delphi (BD)
DAY 6: DELPHI - KALAMBAKA
Visit the archaeological site and the Museum at Delphi. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora, gigantic rocks.

DAY 7: KALAMBAKA - METEORA - ATHENS
Visit Meteora, set amongst striking scenery, perched atop of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, surrounded by ageless Monasteries, with exquisite specimens of Byzantine Art. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop to see across the road the Leonida’s monument). Arrive Athens early evening.
