FRI: TEL AVIV
Arrive Tel Aviv, transfer to hotel.
Overnight: Tel Aviv

Day at leisure in Tel Aviv.

SUN: CAESAREA – HAIFA – ACRE - ROSH HANIKRA - GALILEE
Drive north along the coast to Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the region. See the excavations, the aqueduct and the amphitheatre which has been restored as a concert venue. Proceed to Mt. Carmel for a panoramic view of Haifa. Visit “Af al pi chen”, the Naval Museum. Drive to Acre; walk along the old harbour and local market. Continue to Rosh Hanikra, the northernmost point of Israel. Descend by cable into the limestone Grottoes. Continue to Galilee for the night.
Dinner and overnight: Galilee (BD)
MON: GALILEE - SAFED - GOLAN HEIGHTS - BANIAS - GALILEE
Drive to Safed, center of Kaballa movement and visit the Joseph Caro and the Ha’Ari synagogues. Some time to stroll around the Artist’s Quarter. Enjoy a jeep tour to the foot of the Golan Heights, stop at an observation point and view the city of Kuneitra and the Syrian territory. Stop at Tel Facher, a former Syrian army base. Visit the Banias springs and Tel-Hai. See the “Roaring Lion” monument and learn about the heroic battle of Josef Trumpeldor and his comrades in 1920. Afternoon orientation with a Kibbutz member to learn about their unique lifestyle.
Dinner and overnight: Galilee (BD)
TUE: GALILEE - TIBERIAS - BEIT SHEAN - BEIT ALPHA – SACHNE -JERUSALEM
Drive to Tiberias to visit Rambam’s grave. Continue to Beit Shean, also called "Scythopolis", the biggest archeological park in Israel with beautiful excavations from Roman and Byzantine periods. Stop at Beit Alpha and see the beautiful mosaic floor of a synagogue from the Byzantine period. Continue to Gan Hashlosha (Sachne), located at the foot of the Gilboa mountain where King Saul was killed in the battle against the Philistines. Continue via the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem; stop at Mount Scopus for the She”HeCheyanu blessing as you enter the city.

WED: JERUSALEM – OLD CITY
Start with a visit of the Tomb of King David on Mt. Zion. Walk along the Cardo, the ancient Roman Road. Visit the four Sephardic synagogues restored after the 1967 war in the Jewish Quarter. Tour the famous Kotel Tunnels. After a visit to the Davidson Center walk through the local Arab bazaar. Visit the David’s Tower museum and view the ancient remains of the city beginning with the first Temple period.

THU: JERUSALEM – NEW CITY
View Bar / Bat Mitzvah ceremonies at the Kotel (Wailing Wall). Continue to Mea Shearim and learn about the unique lifestyle of the ultra Orthodox communities. Drive by the Knesset, Israel’s parliament and see the Menorah with the biblical emblems. Visit the Israel Museum’s Shrine of the Book with the famous Dead Sea Scrolls and the new Holyland Model - a miniature replica of Jerusalem as it was during the second Temple period. Drive to Mount Herzl and see the military cemetery. Continue to Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust. Visit Ammunition Hill, a former Jordanian army strong hold, conquered by the Israeli army in the Six Day War and converted into a national memorial site and museum.

FRI: JERUSALEM - MASADA - DEAD SEA – JERUSALEM
Drive through the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea. Stop at Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Continue to Masada and ascend the fortress by cable car. Visit the excavations, Palaces, Synagogue and the Bathhouses. Descend the fortress and continue to one of the leading hotels on the shores of the Dead Sea for lunch and time at the Spa.
