DAY 1: MADEIRA
Arrive Funchal, transfer to hotel. Balance of day leisure.
Overnight: Madeira
DAY 2: MADEIRA
Half day tour of Funchal, Madeira’s capital. We stop at the regional market where you will see a large variety of fish, fruits and vegetables. Continue to the Botanical Gardens to enjoy the enormous variety of plants and flowers as well as the magnificent panorama over Funchal.
We visit an embroidery factory. During the tour, stop to taste the famous Madeira wine. Balance of day at leisure. In the evening: Funchal by night. You are invited to an unusual Madeira restaurant to eat Espetada while being entertained by Portuguese dancers. During dinner, a folklore show with the traditional Fado dancers. After dinner a short stop for a view of the lights of Funchal.

DAY 3: MADEIRA
Probably Madeira’s most well-known excursion: first stop at Pico dos Barcelos at 1100 feet above the sea level, which commands a marvellous view over the town, bay and surrounding hills. We take the road up to Eira do Serrado overlooking Curral das Freiras village situated in the crater of an extinct volcano. Last stop is at Monte village where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the famous Tobboggan ride. You will be met at the end of the toboggan run and taken back to hotel. Balance of day at leisure.
