ITINERARY
DAY 1: CAIRO - ST. CATHERINE
Depart Cairo, cross the Suez Canal and drive south through the Sinai Peninsula to the Springs of Moses where the prophet is said to have rested with his flock. Continue to the Oasis of Feran, the largest cultivated area on the peninsula. Proceed to the Monastery of the Nuns. Early evening arrival in St. Catherine.
Overnight: St. Catherine (LD)
DAY 2: MT. SINAI - ST. CATHERINE - CAIRO
Early morning climb to the top of Mt.Sinai in time to watch the spectacular sunrise from the summit. This is where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Descend the mountain and visit the Monastery of St. Catherine* at the foot of Mt Sinai. Return to Cairo through the Eastern Desert. (BL)
*Monastery closed during Greek Orthodox holidays.
